Forgotten Digital Playground
The Playground is meant to act as a mirror. In the same way that every character is a reflection or a sight for participants to see themselves.
People of generation Z, born between 1996 – 2010 are familiar with Doom scrolling. It is the concept of watching short, bite-size video at 2am. The constant emotional whiplash for 6-8 seconds in every video makes people’ brain rotting away with overloaded sensory which has led to many participants shifted towards the romanticization of Millennium aesthetics, the time before internet blew up. This phenomenal has made Gen z having nostalgic experience very early compared to other generation. They cope with doom scrolling by creating these following three video trends, listed in the order of increasing intensity: dream-core, hope-core and core-core.
